<<set $hunger to $hunger-30>> As Earth’s ecosystem started to shut down pollution, people around the world took off into space. Most ended up on Mars, and others decided to live on space stations. However, there was a small group of people who couldn’t afford their ticket because of the deteriorating Earth. Most died, but some were able to dig deep enough underground, finding safety. Of those people who found safety underground, only a few survived due to internal conflicts from food scarcity. You, $firstname, are one of the very few descendants of the underground survivors. The food your family and friends were able to protect is running out, and everyone is slowly becoming hostile. Your mother, the leader of your group, calls you and your sibilings for an urgent meeting. [[Walk to meeting room.]]

<<set $hunger to $hunger-5>> As you walk towards the meeting room, you see your people suffering in their rooms. Some are barely consicous from extreme hunger and some are silently crying from their family's death recently. One of the members calls out your name for help. $firstname! [[You decide to help]] [[You go to the urgent meeting]]

<<set $inventory.push ("[note: 3 4 5 76 0]")>> You can see your other sibilings going into the meeting room. The doors are closing, but you decide to help the person in need. You sprint towards the sounds of help and find an old lady on the floor. You are confused because you've never seen her. Nevertheless, you help the lady back on to her bed. Before you can ask anything, she says, "3 4 5 76 0" And she hands you a piece of paper with the numbers written down. You're about to ask what this is, but one of your siblings drag you out to the hall. [[Confront Sibiling]]

<<set $hunger to $hunger-5>> You see your mom writing notes on the whiteboard. You are one of the first ones in the meeting room, and your mom notices. The meeting itself was normal overview of the general concerns around what's happening in the underground place. You wonder why it was called an urgent meeting if the meeting itself doesn't seem so urgent. The meeting ends, and you see how all of your other siblings look just as confused. One by one everyone walks out. Just as you are about to walk out, your mom stops you and wants a private talk. She says, "$firstname, I've counted it out. We only have enough food and supplies to last us 3 weeks at best in here. I want you to prepare yourself to go out." [[Is it just me going out?]] [[I don't think I'm capable.]]

"Yes and you will take most of the food. You will be the survivor, remembering what we accomplished here. You will find people and survive and remeber us." Your mom quickly and secretively prepares you to [[get out of the underground place.]]

<<set $hunger to $hunger-50>> Your mom looks at you with sad eyes, but sends you away understanding your choice. After a few days later, you come to realize that one of your other siblings have left the underground space... [[2 weeks later]]

Why did you do that? you ask. The sibiling looks very nervous. She tells you that her mom has decided to send out one of their siblings in hopes that when we all die in here, she will live outside and make it. She tells you that she'll take most of the food we have here. And finally, she asks you if you'll do anything about it. [[I don't think I'm capable.]] [[I'll try]]

<<set $hunger to $hunger-5>> <<set $inventory.push ("[Can of Peaches]")>> Everyone is weak and tired. People have been fighting over food and water. You are also very weak and tired, looking for any leftovers. As you roam around the bunker beds, you find an unopened can of peaches. You take it into your jacket, but notice that someone was looking. You chase down this person and in panic, you slam the person's head with the can of peaches, knocking them out cold. [[Call help]] [[Hide them]]

<<set $inventory to []>> You rush towards your mom and ask for her help. She is deeply disappointed and strikes you in the face. After a thought, she opens takes the can of peaches from you. After taking can of peaches, she says "We are going to make a decision. An important decision for everyone." And with that, she strikes you with the can numerous times until you are bleeding and on the ground. Half unconscious, you see your mom put the bloody can of peaches in the hands of the unconscious person. You see her call for help and tell people that that person smashed her daughter's head because she caught them stealing the can of peaches. [[You go unconscious]]

You drag the body to a storage room, and you duck tape the person's mouth, so that they won't make any sound. Striken with hunger, you quickly open the can of peaches and start eating them. After you finish the can of peaches, you realize your actions. You assualted someone for a can of peaches and kidnapped them. In panic, you... [[Call help]] [[Disguise the scene]]

You can't bare to stay in the underground place after what you did. You start digging to find any type of food. [[1 week later]]

<<set $hunger to $hunger+95>> You wake up to the smell of cooking. As you wake up, someone is there to help you up. After a while, you are brought a plate of steak. Without a thought you eat it and finish it. [[You go unconscious again]]

You dream of where the meat possibly could've came from. You worry about the person you knocked out with the can. [[You wake up.]]

<<set $hunger to $hunger-50>> You try to figure out a way, but after a day or two you realize that the sibling already took off with most of the food supply. People are too weak to realize what's happening. "We are abandoned." You think to yourself. A day later, you hear that the lady you helped died from hunger. You can't take it anymore and you start digging around the underground place. [[1 week later]]

CLUNK! You finally hit something in the ground. It's a safe. You enter a code. [[10 4 6 78 10]] [[3 4 5 76 0]] [[1 2 3 4 5]] [[3 3 4 10 17]]

The safe doesn't budge. You die of hunger.

Now that everyone is full. People start to question. Question why their food source ran out so quickly. They figure out their leader's, your mom's, betrayal. They want justice. They write it in the books about the events that happened. They drag your mom, who is now written down as a traitor instead of a leader. Your mom is [[executed.]]

<<set $inventory to "[History of the Underground]">> You can't bare to see your mom hanging in the meeting room, which is where they executed her. You can't figure out how to make sense of this situation. The people you saved also killed your mother, who tried to kill everyone. Unable to control your emotions you take the history book and [[get out of the underground place.]]

When you climb out, you can't open your eyes. You smell something you've never smelled before. When your eyes adjust to the light. You see green. You feel the wind on your skin. You can breathe. [[Over the years, you travel and you draw the things you see on the history book]]

Stuck in your bed. You hear people screaming of pain. You think it's perhaps a curse that's spreading from what they did. You also feel a strange ache in your head. [[Slowly you close your eyes and take the ache take over.]]
